Chicken Salad Chick - Oviedo

This place embodies the meh way of thinking. Maybe my order of Classic Carol was the really unambiguous choice, but I thought the namesake chicken salad sandwich would be more of an impressive flagship meal. Unfortunately, the bread was too thin to support the wet meat. The toast was bizarre, and there was no crunch like the interior of a McDonald's bun. I enjoy my pages of Mac and cheese and a cookie. Maybe this place is great for chicken salad lovers, but I'm not.

Something different. Not burgers and fries. But it didn't have anything to rave about either. I would go back. Wish there were rye or pumpernickel or maybe sour dough bread types. Mac n cheese was nothing special in my opinion. My sandwich was Fancy Nancy. Duke's mayo is a southern staple. Menu was confusing but the lady behind the counter taking our order was very helpful and explained everything answering all our questions and hearing our frustration with the menu disorder or jumble. No flow.

Upon entering the establishment it is very nice and fresh looking. The lady behind the counter explained the menu board and how to pick our sandwich combo. I ordered a Fruity Fran with a side of Mac n cheese. Presentation is fabulous. The little cookie was a pleasant surprise. My sandwich was dry and flavorless. The croissant was not a true flaky buttery croissant. Instead it had the texture of white bread and tasted like white bread. It might have been better if it could be toasted but I was informed they can not toast them. The chicken salad had no flavor. Even the pineapple had mild flavoring. I had no pieces of apple or grapes. The mac n cheese was hot but a tad dry and no flavor. It might be better to have a base chicken salad and then allow the customer to choose their items and create a salad they are craving? To have some rye bread, sourdough or pumpernickel? A few spices like garlic, celery salt and tarragon? I admire a small business that takes the initiative in todays market. Ack the cookie has a bio engineered ingredient????

Excellent service, great food. Got the classic Carol and broccoli salad. Everything was delicious!
