Sichuan Dynasty - Overland Park

The most authentic Chinese food I have been to in Kansas City. I frequently visit here. Had beef noodle today. Pleasantly surprised again for the great flavor and the tenderness of beef stew. For all the dishes I’ve ordered so far, they have not disappoint.

We were at Sichuan Dynasty this afternoon and it was AMAZING!!! It’s the most authentic Chinese restaurant in the Kansas City metro area. Most Chinese in KC is so different, bland, and not all that great to me compared to NYC/NJ where I’m originally from, but this place is LEGIT! We had the Sichuan Spicy Wontons, Sichuan Asparagus, Dan-Dan Noodles, Chung King Spicy Chicken, and Jiao-Yan Crispy Shrimp. Everything was so delicious and flavorful. If you like spicy or not they have what you want. The wait staff was very prompt with bringing out the dishes hot and fresh and they were super polite. Definitely check this place out!

My favorite Asian restaurant in the Kansas City Metro. If you are looking for a unique, spicy and delicious entrée, I recommend the Chung Kind Spicy Chicken. It one of the entrees they are best know for. It includes a ton of chili peppers and the unique the citrus tasting Sichuan Peppercorns which gives the meal a unique taste. I also recommend the Dan-Dan Noodles, as a starter (Noodles with pork , peanuts and chili sauce). Just me typing this makes me crave it. Keep in mind these are both on the spicy side, but, well worth a try if you like the 'heat '.

My favorite authentic sichuan restaurant and the only place you'll get the best garlic and pepper calamari (entree). Dishes are savory and not sweet like other places and the food is aromatic and flavorful. The flavors from the sichuan peppers are amazing. Try the fish/lamb in sichuan chilli broth, mapo tofu, chicken hot pot (stir fried), Chung King Spicy chicken and the calamari. The people here are super sweet and they remember their loyal customers. Love it!

I enjoyed eating at this restaurant,the food was very good Fried rice combination with chicken,shrimp and beef) along with the crab raccoons not pictured). Great customer service,the food came out in a reasonable time.
