Hockey Sushi - Ottawa

Good experience for AYCE sushi in the Ottawa area. A little far out on the West side of town, but plentiful parking however it is also a bit far from the freeway in a smal strip mall. Service was sufficient to get the job done, but nothing stellar. Atmosphere basic and generally clean and bright.

Awesome food. The quality was excellent. The service and waiters were second to none. They had a robot sever that was a bit of a nuisance, however, that pretty much everyone had to make way for. Friendly service. Good price. The robot adds to it. The kids loved the robot service. Mango rolls and sweet potato rolls were delicious!

I usually visit the Nepean location and love it, however, this particular location was a bit of a different story. My table had never been before and no one explained how the robot worked to us since it is different from the other location’s robot. We were in a corner table and the robot stopped directly behind our chairs so we had to turn and reach around our chairs to grab the food. In this position, we were unable to see the lights and what pointed where and apparently grabbed the wrong dish. We were scolded three separate times by the staff for this one mistake even though we apologized and tried to explain our misunderstanding.Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options, just know that the tempura sauce is not vegetarianParking: Small plaza shared by several businesses with minimal parking. Sometimes you get lucky and will find lots available and others not so much

The food was delicious.Other than that, it was kind of like a fast food restaurant, I was not impressed by the service or the staff.They do have a robot server, which was pretty cool.
