The Diving Burrito - OTHÓN P. BLANCO

When the bill came $145 for two creepy meals that were not even on the menu!!! Not here! The food was disgusting. The bathrooms are rough! Eat at the pier!

Food was good as was service, HOWEVER, they tried to over charge for every item on our bill. They gave us a flier for a free margarita, then tried to charge us $11. They quoted price of $2 per beer (typical for all clubs on the beach) and tried to charge us $5 each. We agreed IN ADVANCE OF ORDERING on a price of $20 for a fried snapper. They tried to charge us $35. Won't be going back there! If you choose to, exercise caution! They tried to charge us $82 for two beers, one piña colada and one fish!

Not sure if Big Mama took the Diving Burrito, but it was probably a year or so. Diving Burrito is just used as a kitchen for Big Mama's restaurant, so hopefully it won't always be confused with the old place that is out of business.

Food and service were very good. HOWEVER, if we got the check, it was more than twice what we paid for on the cruise ship. We were told that there was no menu, but the servers wore something that looked like a menu. When we asked the bill, the server told us that it costs more for Americans.

Our family of four was on a cruise ship and in port for the day. We took a cab to Majahual and ended up at The Diving Burrito. We had attentive waiters who set us up quickly with a table with an umbrella and brought us our first order right away. We ordered a second time an hour later and that took a little longer to make it to us. The location was perfect. We stayed there for quite a while and didn't feel like we were expected to leave once we were done eating. We played in the water and really enjoyed the location. The only downside of the experience has nothing to do with The Diving Burrito, but you will be confronted A LOT by locals selling their wares.We had good food and it was a great location. I'd go there again.
