Chiazza Cuverta - OSTUNI

We were walking around the main plaza in Ostuni to find something for dinner and ended up here. BIG MISTAKE, had the worst restaurant experience of my life. This saying we both work in this industry and have quite a lot of tollerance when it comes to bad service. This guys are rude, serve terrible food and thiefs. Do everyone a favor and dont spend any money here

Sorry guys but this was the 50€ worst spent in my life. Everything low cost (bottles, food ingredients, without any bread at the beginning) but only the prices were high. Seafood frozen, salad without any taste, cheap oil, horrible pizza and the worst of the worst was the service. The waiter turned with his back to us meanwhile taking order talking to his colleague. Are you serious??!! Well, I hope I will read the reviews next time.

Terrible experience with food, pizza, starters without taste. High prices and horrible service. I'm saying this as an Italian, never again.

Sadly of everywhere we ate in Puglia, this place fell short. Whilst it was in a picturesque location off the main square the food and service was lacking. My Caprese was over salted and was only given approximately 4 cherry tomatoes cut up on the plate (in other restaurants I ate this the tomatoes were plentiful). Our pastas were undercooked (in our opinion) were swimming in oil and lacked any ‘fresh’ taste to them. The service was disorganised and we had to chase Wine and one meal. You had to lay inside which also seemed strange. Perhaps they were having a bad day,but we wouldn’t return.

This is one of those places that you might walk past and miss a truly wonderful dining experience. We came across this restaurant by accident as we walked around the old quarter of Ostuni. We were not expecting anything out of the ordinary which made the whole e periwnce ven more memorable! After choosing our dishes from a fairly standard menu, the owner/chef decided to tempt us with a succession of delicious prima piatti. After this amazing degustation, only two of us were able to continue with the main course (pesce. Also beautifully cooked and presented). We will be returning tomorrow night!
