The Bum's Rush Pub - Orwigsburg

I was in Pennsylvania for a few weeks on a work assignment and wanted to treat myself to a nice meal. Everything was a little bit of a drive since I was staying just outside a tiny town that had little to offer in the ways of food. So I pulled up my trusty Yelp app and found A few spots around the area but the Bum's Rush seemed to have the most interesting menu. It also happened to be a moonshine distillery in addition to the restaurant. I really like the vibe of this place. It's got a tasting room as you walk in. They also have indoor/ outdoor seating for enjoying the views and weather. And I'm the corner of the restaurant they have a little section that has a small horseshoe bar. I got seated right away and immediately went after a huckleberry lemonade shine cocktail because why not? I also decided to get a nice surf and turf for dinner because if work is paying for it I feel like I can splurge a little! Jamie was my server and she was awesome/sweet. She asked me why I was enjoying such good food by myself and I explained I was working from waaay out of town. She offered to introduce me to the staff and the owners if I wanted to stay and enjoy a couple more beverages before I headed out. I was taking the rare couple days off while I was out of town so I absolutely agreed. After I finished eating Jamie walked me over to the bar and introduced me to the rest of the Bum's Rush family including Ray the owner and his wife Janet. I had a much needed evening of sharing a great time with. If you're ever in the area, definitely swing by, you won't be disappointed. I had a great time and will definitely stop by again if I'm ever in the area! Much thanks to Ray, Janet, Jamie, Megan, Jordyn, Sabryn and anyone else who I might have missed from the squad!

Went here with some family a month or so back and the food was great! The selection of moonshine beverages was also awesome! The staff seemed very positive and the morale was high. I highly recommend this place for family dinners and dates alike. All-around great place!

The food is great. Many selections that will please the palette. You will not leave hungry and their handmade chips are excellent. The drinks are very unique, really good and plenty to choose from. Here we go, the service stank! Our waitress kept forgetting to bring what we asked for several times. Either she wasn't listening or didn't care. There were only 4 of us and it took well over an hour.

Awesome drinks! The crab dip fries are a bit much with the sauce on top. Get the house specialty topped fries! Those are soo good!

My husband and I ate here for the first time tonight. We will be returning ASAP! We both had fantastic meals! Everything was delicious from the soup, fish tacos, salads, homemade bread (still warm), bourbon beef tips over shrimp and lobster grits, Filet mignon cooked perfectly, and the cheesecake!! Our waitress was the best- super friendly and very attentive. As I said, we will definitely be back!
