There is nothing to complain about here, the location is great, the staff is super friendly and the rooms are beautiful. Perfect place high above Locarno. Yes, it has its price, but it's worth every franc. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5

The dinner of July 31, 2023 on the restaurant terrace at Orselina was a disaster: The gazpacho consisted mainly of finely chopped onions, the fried duck liver was tiny, but totally oversalted. The beef dish was extremely over salted so I had to return it after the first bite. Under the circumstances, it is understandable that there was no salt on the table. The fact that there was no pepper on the table is rather weak. Olive oil was served in a bowl with the bread without being asked. Since I don't like olive oil I asked for butter. Two pieces of rock hard frozen butter were brought to me. Spread on the bread impossible! All this culinary misery culminated in the fact that a closed party celebrated on the unfortunately open terrace. Already disinhibited by enough alcohol at the previous aperitif in the hotel garden, everyone in the party yelled so loudly that one would have preferred to have ordered one's meal to the hotel room on the beautiful terrace. All guests complained to the waiters as well. The waiter shrugged and told me to get up and go to reception to complain. My subsequent request that someone from the management come to my table was ignored. The fact that you have to pay extra for the Egg Benedict at breakfast is a rip off. Conclusion: You can't spend your money worse. Food drinks: The dining experience was so poor that unfortunately it overshadowed the many positives of Villa Orselina.

Gesamt betrachtet ist das Hotel sehr gut. Die Sauberkeit und die Freundlichkeit sind überall hervorragend! Die Kundenorientierung ist ebenfalls nicht zu beanstanden. Das Essen ist erstklassig, mit vollster Aufmerksamkeit und guter Beratung. Es wäre für 5 Sterne passend, wenn alle Lampen in der Suite ein Upgrade haben, die Getränke regelmäßig aufgefüllt werden, das Telefon einwandfrei funktioniert und die Türfallen nicht klemmen würden. Das sind alles Kleinigkeiten, und wir verstehen, dass es zu Saisonbeginn manchmal zu solchen Problemen kommen kann, dennoch ist es etwas nervig. Der Wellnessbereich ist eher klein, wohl weil die Villa im Winter geschlossen ist, was wir nachvollziehen können. Die finnische Sauna funktioniert hervorragend, die Dampfsauna ... na ja ... Aber das wunderbare Außenbad, der Ausblick und die Sauberkeit gleichen das alles wieder aus. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen, keine Frage. UND: Auf die konstruktive Kritik wurde positiv reagiert.
