Truchas San Ignacio - Orosi

Great food, the black beans are awesome and the trout is very well prepared. This family owned restaurant, I think is the best deal in town.

We had to leave because it was too crowded, and taking too long to attend the table. Price looks good, though.

This is an awesome restaurant! Our favorite trout place in all of CR. They know how to cook their trout! You can catch your own trout in their pond if you want, or just order at the table. Also have tradition Casados available. The location is perfect, at the top of calle Juco, just outside the town of Orosi. Beautiful grounds that you can stroll around. Can see Oropendula birds flying back and forth to their nests. Scenic stream runs next to the property. Good parking lot and a nice attendant to watch your car. The wait staff is very well trained and attentive. We've eaten here many times and never been disappointed. It can get a little chilly up there if it's cloudy or rainy, so you may want a jacket or sweater if it's not a sunny day.

My favorite place to go for trout in Orosi. The owner is very on top of this game, he's trained his staff to be very quick and helpful. The grounds are well manicured. You can walk around before or after your meal. They even offer the option to catch your own trout from their pond with a string. I recommend getting a side of fried yuca with your trout. It's delicious! Their ceviche is amazing too.
