Marisa is amazing! She?s super friendly and accommodating. Love to hit the bar when she?s working (weekends) go see her ! The food is always really delicious and I love the beer selection. It?s a fun spot to hit with friends.
Got two brats, a pretzel, and nachos for two. Definitely over ordered, but spent over $30 each none the less. The mustard is a bit too strong. The beer cheese is just gross, so except for the pretzel it was barely edible. The nachos are just ruined with the horrible cheese. I imagine if one has enough beer it might seem good.. I have got to stop getting food from places with alcohol as their main feature. Their customers taste is suspect.
Claire (hope I spelled that right) killed it! Not only was she training a new server on trivia night in a packed bar, but she knew her beer flavor profiles and made good suggestions all night. Great personality to boot. The man running trivia did a great job as well, stringing together his questions that played off of one another in some instances. Worth a stop if you want a good variety of beer. Didn't have any food since we were there for drinks after dinner elsewhere.
Great food, friendly staff, nice outdoor patio area, open very late. Service was a bit slow, but my experience is likely impacted by selection bias (heading there precisely because it 's a weeknight and LATE, and nothing else with outdoor seating that we knew about was open at that hour in the neighborhood . We first checked it out because I 'd heard that despite the name of World of BEER, it 's not just about the drinks, but has pretty good food, too. We found that to be quite true! The Southern Fried pickles make for a great and distinct appetizer a bit on the salty side, but the seasoning and dip really make this stand out from the fried pickles I 've had at other places. The French Dip was a sloppy mess, even by French dip standards, as the meat was cut into particularly small pieces (and therefore kept falling out , but flavor wise, it was definitely worth the trouble. The Beerunch Burger (it 's Brunch but with Beer in the name was also incredibly messy but tasty. (This isn 't a complaint just a consideration! Don 't expect to maintain your dignity while eating either one of these entrees! :D The tea was weak, tasting more like instant tea or fountain drink Lipton tea than brewed ... but what do I *expect*, ordering tea at a place called WORLD OF BEER ?! I 'm just happy they at least had the option. : Some of my comments might sound critical, but I 'm still giving this place 5 stars since it delivered on the important elements for me great food, friendly staff and it fills an important niche as a sit down restaurant still open at an odd hour when most of the others are long closed.
