Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

I really enjoy their breakfast; it’s excellent! I had the country fried steak with eggs and hash brown casserole, and it was fantastic.

We didn't have to wait long, and the staff was friendly. My family and I really enjoyed the food. Our waiter was nice, but she seemed a bit unfamiliar with the menu. We were looking for something other than the cereal pancakes for my daughter, and she initially told us they were the only option, which struck me as odd. However, I decided to keep looking and found the kids' option for three buttermilk pancakes. After I mentioned it to her, she finally placed the order. I didn’t make a fuss about it since she was an older lady.

Grandkids wanted to try the confetti pancakes at Cracker Barrel to compare with IHOP in St. Cloud. Hubby got chicken and dumplings, I got plain pancakes, and they got the confetti (kids) pancakes. Well, after trying them T said they are ok, but I like the ones at IHOP better. Hubby and I love the dumplings here, but they are really into the pancakes. Will try the kids chicken next time. Did not wait long, not crowded for a week day. The general store was not crowded either. We hadn't seen Charles Chips since we lived in Texas, they had 4 didn't kinds. It was a nice find. Enjoy.

You can never go wrong having a meal at the cracker barrel. I had a sirloin steak with pinto beans mashed potatoes and fried apples. Delicious. But what made our experience over the top was our waitress Erica. She was fantastic. Very pleasant very friendly and took great care of us. She's a credit to the restaurant. .
