We've tried a new place every week, there's a ton of good stuff here, but that's the best and we're back three times. The fish was the perfect level of crispy, salty and hot. We spoke once and decided on the beignets and they were also amazing. The rest of the baked goods looked delicious and there was a beautiful variety. Good local beer selection, friendly team, great experience. We're coming back for General Tso's Cauliflower Thursday... Thanks for so great vegetarian specialties every week!
Quite pricey food menu but I enjoyed the chix sandwich. They let us 'camp out ' waiting for the ferry. Very quaint old hotel. Staff was very polite.
We had lunch here before catching our ferry and ordered the Fish and Chips as well as Grilled Cheese. Both dishes were excellent, and I highly recommend this place for a tasty meal. They offer some nice outdoor seating, but it can get crowded since there isn't enough for everyone. Currently, due to health regulations, there's no indoor dining available.
Orcas Island is a stunning and tranquil destination, perfect for recharging. However, if you're looking for a dinner spot during the week, your options are quite limited. Most restaurants are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, and many operate for only four days. Tonight, I used Google to find a place to eat and discovered the Orcas Hotel Cafe. This spot offers casual, informal dining where you order at the counter, find a seat, and then pick up your food. It's conveniently located right by the ferry, making it easy to find, and the view there is fantastic! The main dining area had a special this evening that included food and jazz music for $68, but we opted for the more relaxed dining option. My companions ordered the fish and chips, which was a generous portion great for sharing.
I had the fish and chips here, and they were probably the best I've ever had. The menu is quite amusing, featuring items like Barbacoa, Latte, Chicken Tinga Burrito, and various fresh baked goods. While you wait for your meal, you can enjoy sitting by the outdoor fire pits. However, be aware that there are no regular seats available.
