El Cerrito Mexican - Onalaska

Nice family owned authentic Mexican food. $1 small tacos are their claim to fame. Huge burritos are great too! Excellent value for your money!

We arrived close to closing time, but Vanessa was still more than happy to serve us. My husband ordered the spiced pork tacos, while I had a burrito. Both dishes were delicious and reasonably priced. The restaurant is clean and has a cheerful atmosphere. Vanessa is an excellent waitress!

I was a bit hesitant at first due to the wait, but once the food arrived, it was pure bliss. Honestly, I've never had better Mexican cuisine. I can't recall the name of my dish, but it was a chicken breast topped with a special lime sauce, grilled onions, and jalapeños. It was outstanding and absolutely worth the wait. My husband ordered the steak fajitas, and the meat was incredibly tender and flavorful. The portion sizes were excellent for the price. It would be fantastic if they offered a combo fajita with steak, chicken, shrimp, chorizo, etc., but even without that, we would definitely order it again. Additionally, we noticed that it’s a small family-run business with limited staff, which contributed to the longer wait times. I hope people don't overlook this place, as the quality of the food will surely bring them back. I believe it’s a wonderful addition to our city!

The food is incredible—definitely the best Mexican cuisine in Wisconsin! All the tacos were delicious, and it's clear that everyone puts in a great effort. This is a must-try spot for everyone!

Stop trying some tacos today. You were wonderful! I took photos from her menu. I often go there considering I work like 3 blocks away. I suggest trying. Real authentic Mexican. Just like before in Vegas. I look forward to trying more items on the menu.
