Hyderabad House Biryani Place - Omaha

I tried the Veg Thali and was pleasantly surprised by the variety of dishes it included! The flavors were great, and it was refreshing to see such an assortment in a thali after a long time!

I'm disappointed! I'm not sure what has changed at Hyderabad House since my last visit earlier this year, but something's definitely off. The butter chicken we had was of low quality. We typically order butter chicken from here about 3-4 times a year because it used to be my favorite spot for it. That has changed. Tonight's butter chicken was basically swimming in fat, and there were barely four pieces of chicken in it. For $15, I felt completely ripped off. This experience has definitely pushed my butter chicken-loving self to seek other options. I'm hesitant to give them another chance because they must have known that serving a bowl with so little chicken was unacceptable. Kinnara's butter chicken for $16 is a much better value, and while I always preferred the version from Hyderabad House, I’ll definitely miss the old, less greasy recipe!

I had a pleasant experience at Ambiente restaurant, where the staff was quick to take our order. The goat fry biryani was quite tasty, although it was spicier than I anticipated for a dish labeled as medium heat. I would recommend that anyone who isn't a fan of spice opt for the mild option instead.

Excellent Hyderabadi Biryani. The staff is very friendly. Your prices are reasonable and the amount is a lot. Great ambience too. I ate everything. Will go back when we visit Omaha.

The food here was exceptional quality. I have had essentially all of the Indian cuisine in Omaha and this was amongst the best (if not the best). We did dine in with a party of five adults. Food was fresh and clearly made to order, and there was a certain special care in each of the dishes that had been brought out. We brought our younger children (both less than two) and they were given special attention. I would definitely recommend the food here. The dine in experience for us was particularly good, especially for a Friday night.
