Gorat's Steak House - Omaha

Server was awesome! The food quality wasn't worth the price. The food was average with outrageous prices. The dinning area was nicely set up but lighting could definitely be better.

Best steak we’ve ever had! Cooked to perfection. Highly recommend the button mushrooms, sautéed in olive oil with rosemary absolutely delicious. Greg, our waiter made some awesome recommendations.

We could not have been more disappointed. Our waitress was overbearing and almost rude when it came to ordering. I asked for no scallions on anything and it came out on EVERYTHING! We ordered the millionaire deviled eggs and while I don 't mind mustard that 's really the only flavor you taste. The Baked Potato Soup...SPOT ON!!! We ordered the a La Carte size of Truffle Fries and when it came out it looked huge and when I asked the waitress cut me off and said ya ya that 's what you ordered the Whiskey Glazed Ribeye we ordered medium, came out and was tough and DISGUSTING! I can 't describe how disgusted my husband and I were with this steak! I couldn 't stand to take more than 2 bites without gaging at how chewy and tasteless this steak was even with the truffle butter. The baked potato was under cooked! Now, the Lobster Mac n cheese...THEY DOING THAT RIGHT!! It 's delicious!! Our bill came and the load baked potatoes that the waitress told us came that way we were charged an extra $3 for, the a la Carte truffle fries were actually the appetizer order so instead of $6 they were $12(rough idea, I don 't remember the exact amount). If the waitress wouldn 't have been so rude and cut me off or maybe she just didn 't want to listen. Every time we turned around she was trying to sell us the dessert for the evening even though I told her from the moment we sat down I absolutely hate Mango anything. She would not stop. The waitress came and boxed everything up for us and she said, you guys didn 't touch your steak much . I said, well, to be honest, it was not good. It was tough and the flavor was actually really put off . Her only response was, well, atleast I didn 't charge you the $10 split plate fee . All in all we spent $115 of our hard earned money on a meal and my husband and I were absolutely disgusted! We threw all of the leftovers in the garbage at the gas station instead of even taking it home because I couldn 't stand the idea of feeding it to my dogs.

Forays was recommended to us by the staff at the Visitors Center as well as the staff at our hotel. They did not lead us wrong. The steak and the salmon were delicious and the dessert (that they served on a special Anniversary plate was exceptional. Thanks for a fun night as we celebrated our 35th anniversary

The service was good and the food came out hot and tasted great.
