Afternoon Tea at Meldrum House

Beautiful setting. too much sweet for my taste, but some people would like that. they win me alternatives, because I couldn't eat a pig and even though I couldn't give it. great service and very courteous. will have come back to any

We had the festive afternoon tea was very good the only thing I would have liked less of was the chocolate cakes maybe piece of shortbread or something plain as was mostly all chocolate, nice touch was the fire outside the window, good feature

Afternoon tea was served in their large function room alongside their lunch service. The staff were very pleasant. We are both vegetarian and had pre-advised the hotel so there was no issue on arrival. The food was good but very heavy on chocolate (which was also quite rich). which meant that I left quite a few pieces. The scones were lovely although one of my scones was not quite cooked right through, but the flavours were excellent. Only 1 choice of tea or coffee On the whole we had a nice time

Too much sweet selection and not enough savoury sausage roll and sandwiches

Large room like dining hall Savoury selection was good but not enough Far too many sweet selection with minimal variety and tasteless Staff were pleasant but had to ask for coffee top up twice with no milk topped up and wine was asked for three times before we received it
