Unfortunately, I can't judge the ambience of the hotel because I couldn't arrive for the booked nights because of a Corona disease and died early. Very unpleasant timing to get sick as I couldn't attend a conference I wanted to use on business – I can say an economic loss for me as I wanted to meet with important business contacts. The more I was surprised by a cancellation fee charged by the hotel. Other hotel bookings that I had to cancel on this business trip for the same reason were confirmed to me without cancellation fee. My request for waiver of the cancellation fee or cunning was rejected with reference to the booking confirmation, no compromise proposal nothing. Granted: I had signed the booking confirmation and so agreed to the cancellation fee. What I conclude: better not book directly at the hotel, but pay attention to the well-known portals and to cancellation options. Oh yes: and perhaps also look into the reviews and how the operator reacts to criticism my resumé: he is always right.
