Sheesh Mahal is easily our favorite for fulfilling the craving for good Indian food. On to the particulars: Obviously, the food is good. Our favorites so far are the garlic naan, masala rice, any of the chaats, goat curry, butter chicken, any tikka, dum beef, mutton korma, daal puri (only on Friday and Saturday lunch), and bread pudding. The goat here is magical, and some of the most tender meat you'll ever find. If you need to trick your kids into eating spinach, this place can do that for you with one of their palak dishes. They also serve a complimentary mint tea that's phenomenal. Even the tea haters in my family like the tea here. The service is some of the best you'll find. Qasim is usually at the front, but even if it's someone else, they'll help you with the menu and with deciding what to try. And they're happy to do it. Refills are quick, if you're allowed to empty your cup at all. Price is good. Two can stuff themselves silly on $30 (appetizer, two entrees, rice, and naan). The rice and naan are separately priced from the entrees, but you get a platter of rice, not a small side, which can be shared by 2 or 3 people. The naan is $2 or $3, and you don't need many, maybe one per person (or none if you just want rice, or a couple if you love bread). The atmosphere is nice. It's very relaxed. No bright lights. Casual seating. Small pieces of cultural art here and there instead of tons of it shoved in your face. There's usually nice music playing quietly, and occasionally there's cricket muted on the television. They also have a nice patio area for good weather days. The ambiance is good for family, friends, or a casual date. Bottom line: I recommend this to anyone and everyone.

The food was amazing and the service was perfect! It is a little pricy but portion size it good!!! I have the okra for a side dish and I don't think I've ever had better okra in my life! Main was chicken saag which was very good but since I'm staying away from rice it wasn't as filling!!
The food is absolutely amazing and the staff is awesome. Even my 3 year old loves this place! There vegetarian options are quite extensive and yummy! Highly recommend
Sheesh Mahal is one of my favorite places to eat. As a vegetarian, it can be hard to find restaurants with tasty options, but I've tried a lot here and I seriously haven't had a single thing here I didn't love. The staff are always very polite and generous, often bringing you tea or other extras on top of your meal. My boyfriend and I usually split a vegetarian biyrani (rice dish) because it is HUGE, and each get our own main item to mix into it. He usually gets the Butter Chicken, although he has tried many other dishes including Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Korma, and some lamb dishes and liked them all. I usually get the mixed daal (lentils), although I've had several chickpea dishes that were tasty too. All the naan options are delicious, especially the garlic naan. We always get samosas as well which are excellent. For the amount of food and the high quality, I think everything they offer is well priced. I'm always happy to dine in, but since this place is practically in our neighborhood we often get it to go and eat at home!
