The first place I stopped had an endless line, so I went to the Falls Market, right on the corner as you enter Ohiopyle. The line moved quickly. Prices are high (amusement park-like , but the portions were large, the food was hot, and it was delicious. I got the beef fajita wrap and french fries for $14. Items are packed in a box, so it was easy to take it to go and eat it elsewhere (a shaded picnic table! . It would have been nice to bring a picnic with me to Ohiopyle, but if I came again on a quick, unplanned trip, I would not hesitate to eat here again.
We went to the Falls Market for dinner after a long day of rafting. The food was fantastic. Pulled pork sandwiches with carnival fries? Yes please! Very nice little place to sit outside and eat. You can park across the street and visit the falls after your meal.
We just stopped there for a quick ice cream before going on to Polymath Park. The ice cream was a bit soft and was melting quickly before we got to the car just outside. It was also a bit too sweet and at almost $9 for a scoop each somewhat pricey we believe. There is no place to eat inside as it’s only outside seating and not much of that. The ice cream would have melted even faster on a hot August day.
If you're looking for a great place to cool down on a summer day in Ohiopyle, PA, the market is a perfect spot. The service was quick, and the staff were friendly. They also allow you to order outside, so you can enjoy your meal with your dogs.
Haven't eaten here in a while, so wanted to give a quick update. The chili is awesome! Even though it was 90 degrees, the hearty chili somehow hit the spot after a day of biking and hiking. The fudge is delicious. Overpriced, as are many of the menu items, unfortunately, but it's delicious fudge! I was told that it is NOT made there, however. The clothes were picked-over. I really hated to see such a low inventory of hats, etc, during the peak season. The small grocery section was well stocked if you need anything for your extended stay. The only complaint I have other than the low selection of hats and shirts is the attitude of some of the workers. I don't understand it, and I can't figure out why, but this seems to be a reoccurring theme.
