Stars Drive-in - Odessa

It?s Friday, 5:30 p.m. I am not cooking dinner. The week has been long and I am tired. Who wants a cheese burger and fries?! Me! I pass Stars Drive-in on my way to and from work and it beckons me with the sweet siren song of burgers and fries like I used to get from the diners of my youth. One summer, I waitressed at a dinner that had a grill just for the burgers. I was a terrible waitress but I stuck it out to get my free meal every evening after dinner rush. This isn?t a $15 gourmet burger and foo-foo fries meal. It?s a serious burger and fries meal for people who want to eat where they want to eat and not have to sit in a restaurant with other people. And it?s really good food. No pretensions. No big ego. No ?experience? dining. I just wish the dude from the commercials was there, waving a spatula, yelling BIT BY HUNGER? CALL THE SPATULAW!

It was very good for walking fast food. Burger had a lot of taste. Not much for the Pommes, but I'm just not much of a Frey guy.

The banana split with all the fixings was the best I had I had in a while. Customer service was great, especially Rayna. I shall be back again

Stppoed for a quick drink. All the stalls were full, yet I. got my drink extra quick. Super friendly eveey time I go.

Friendly and Quick service. I really like the munchers. Other food items are great too. No complaints.
