Ivy On The Square - Ocala

What a pleasant surprise! My wife and I went to a whim for our 25-year anniversary to be Ocala for the day. The service was excellent, from the bartender, who was really proud of their mixology on the pleasant server we had at the table. We started with bacon wrapped appointments that were absolutely fantastic. For our main course I had the Southern Shrimp Creole, which was by far some of the best shrimps and grits I had. My wife had the seafood Scampi they enjoyed. Overall it was a great experience. If there is one thing, I would suggest changing the chairs at the high tables in the bar area. They are very soft and you sort suck into the pillow, but the chair frame was narrow and made the chair a little unpleasant.

Food was delicious and fresh! Our server was very attentive and had a great sense of humor. The restaurant was clean even with them being busy. 10/10 will be back for sure

Everything about this was 5 stars. Service, ambiance, food, and the drinks. This of my current favorite place in ocala hands-down. The drinks were unique and oh-so-good and the food lived up to that standard. The bacon wrapped dates were to die for, and they had the best fried green tomatoes I’ve ever had. We loved the gourmet Turkey croissant as well.

When you walk in, you just don’t expect what you see! The decor is so nice , with a low key cozy feel. It’s simply beautiful! The wait for the food was a bit, but was so worth it! We really enjoyed the fried green tomato BLT! The only negative I could even possibly Come up with, is the food is a bit greasy or overly buttered. But it was still delicious! We will definitely come back!

We came with a large party. The cheese fritters and scallop appetizer were both amazing! I had the ribeye and I thought it was awesome. The only drawbacks were my water didn’t stay filled and the bathroom only has room for 2 people max. It’s a pretty big restaurant for that.
