Now, onto the food. If fried pickles are on the menu, I'm definitely ordering them—unless they’re in spear form. Seriously, who does that? Typically, a large order would cost around $7-9 elsewhere, but here it was only about $3.50 and still a generous serving. I loved mine with a side of blue cheese. I also took a recommendation and tried the large portion of Pig Fries. While the fries could have been cooked a bit better, I was still pleased with them. And then there were the beans. I could easily have enjoyed a bowl of baked beans and been happy on its own! Of course, it was a struggle to ignore all the amazing food around me, but I really enjoyed everything I had. A big thank you to the staff for their fantastic service and delicious food. I’m sure I’ll be back next time!

I visited this restaurant in July and had a fantastic experience. I ordered the cut BBQ beef and was pleasantly surprised when the waitress asked how I wanted it cooked—something I hadn't encountered at other BBQ places. I opted for medium, and it turned out to be the best BBQ beef I've ever had. That's why I'm writing this review. The sweet tea, fries, and coleslaw were also excellent. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. Although the place might seem a bit rundown, they serve incredible comfort food, which was exactly what we needed after a day of kayaking at Silver Springs. I will definitely come back on my next trip to the Ocala area.

Wow, these ribs are incredible! They practically melt off the bone. The baked beans, served cold, are packed with meat and are a delicious treat on their own. You have to try the ribs; at just $14.99, it’s an amazing deal!

As always, stellar service, amazing eating!! Have NIE had bad experiences here. Absolutely LOVE the bbq beef! Hubby swears on the ribs.

This is not a franchise but locally owned. Great atmosphere, country setting inside. Wait staff are very friendly, food is great. Have been going there since the 1970's myself.
