Italian food well prepared. my wife has chosen the spaghetti alla carbonara (coesque) I have an antipasto (melone/sink and carpacio) then saltimbocca alla romana with muese (Gut± grilled cherry tomatoes and butterweiskool) calf with sage and shiny tomatensalate with wobbly not Armenian. huge portions. correct prices for the food quantity and its quality. manko: vinegar/oil ampollen with smuetzige corken.
I cannot confirm the partially extremely negative assessments. we have been going to giu for several years and are always very satisfied. the staff is very friendly and the eating super tasty. the size of the portions are more than satisfactory. the price-performance ratio fits. the ambiente is super pleasant there and above all it is very clean in the restaurant. even if the restaurant is very often full, due to presentations in the ebertbad, we get our food without a long wait period. in summer you can eat there on the beautiful terrace. I can recommend the giu very much.
After a visit, where everything was quite ordentliich, I experienced this in the opposite direction yesterday. 2 hours before the presentation in the neighboring ebertbad was the locally inside and outside quite full. that led to an overrequirement both in the service and in the kitchen. a noodle dish was completely desalinated, which came new delivery when all the others were ready to eat at the table for 20 minutes. the others eat, pizzen, were on average at quite high praises. ordering drinks took, the bill after a very long waiting period was then also incorrect ( 1 be too much). Conclusion: better go to another local, which is better prepared for numerous guests with table orders. The positive: we have reached the presentation in the ebertbad.
In spite of some bad critikens here in the forum we visited the giu. on the one hand, the beautiful terrace in the quiet environment addressed us, on the other hand I wanted to make myself a judge. the first impression was then not so good: the tables outside (at least the slightly further outside) had no decoration, not even a deck or runner, the serviettes were made of paper. a real feeling of wellbeing or even cozyness you don't spread like that. for this it was surprising to eat: the spaghetti ao had the necessary sharpness; the bark fillet with fresh pfifferlings was properly roasted and accompanied by a good sauce, but unfortunately also by non-size carrots. the pizzas were average. the prices were (yet) ok; but should not be higher.(However, a court of the daily ticket cost 38,- €, which was a withdrawal). the expresso was unfortunately no one, for that’s delicious duckstein from the faß and a final grappa. nice, charming (female) service.
We visited the restaurant twice in a week. at the first time there was a bit of chaos with the orders, but at the second time everything was fantastic. the staff was very nice and we got suggestions for a "pick plate" with appetizers that were well assembled. the main dishes were also very good, all from fish to pasta to meat. and also there they were very service oriented and could change a little depending on the company's wishes. the only part was the wine. an Italian restaurant should have bottled wine and especially good red wine. but still - a very beautiful Italian restaurant!
