The menu was extensive, featuring an affordable lunch selection. I opted for the three-course meal, which was quite generous—I couldn't finish it all in one sitting. The food was fresh and delicious, and the atmosphere was both calming and infused with a smooth jazz vibe. It also has a bar, which adds to its charm. I can definitely see myself returning here in the future. If you're craving sushi and happen to be in the Chinatown area, I highly recommend stopping by!
Without a doubt, this is the best sushi I've had in the Bay Area. It's cold, fresh, and absolutely delicious. After dining here for over six years, I can confidently say we've found our new favorite spot.
The food was delicious, and the staff were extremely friendly. I will definitely be returning to sample more of the dishes they have to offer!
Maybe its me but I tend to be a little bias when the Chinatown offers anything other than Chinese on their menu. From more than one experiences of ordering food and receiving what looks like day old food cooked up, covered up in sauce made me pause to second think any restaurant in Chinatown. Being lazy that I am and I figured the 4.5+ star couldn't be far off since every one rate an establishment based off one of five things (cleanliness, vibe, food, staff and convenience). Took the jump and like everyone else...findinf parking even at dinner hours can be a hassle. Once the parking issue was overcome, all that was left was go into the Plaza, take the elevator as it's located upstairs. Don't let those police vehicle parked around Chinatown fool you. They are still practically useless and don't serve nothing more than a decoration. Anyhow, made my way up, walked into the door and sat at the at the counter. Ordered a unagi bowl, 16 piece sashimi chef choice and a dragon roll because that's how I roll when it's a one person party. The 16 piece came first and boy was I a bit taken back. The portion were decently large and I'm thinking to myself. Maybe they are making up for the quality or something. Nope, the sashimi pieces were fresh, the amount of ginger and wasabi that came as condiments were also largely portion. I enjoyed every single variety of fish that came on that combo plate. Next came my dragon roll and at this point, I was beginning to worry if I was going to be able to eat all of this. The dragon roll was nothing but yummy! The master piece of the meal which was the unagi that I ordered came last...wow! Talk about unagi being savory and the amount of unagi laid out in my bowl was more than I had bargained for and yes that unagi was probably the highlight since I like sweet stuff and unagi just fits the sweet tooth. Overall, the chef were attentive and making small talk which was nice since I was by myself. I didn't have any issue with their staff, they were what is expected from a 4+ star establishment. Overall, I had a good experience, the food was yummy and maybe next time I'm not going to order so much because good food usually leads to lack of self control and that means overweight. I blame the food!
Great ambiance, great service, beautiful cuts, and delicious specialty rolls. Everything we ate here was incredible! We really enjoyed the agedashi tofu, hamachi double roll and tuna overall.
