Jefferson Fountain - Oak Ridge

After a long wait, she returned to ask if my husband and I were ready to order, but quickly dismissed us, saying probably not. I looked at my husband to check if he was ready, and we proceeded to place our order. I noticed her make a snide remark to a younger server about the tea station, complaining that it was poorly set up since only one person could fit through. The other server, visibly uncomfortable, responded with something I couldn't hear, but her body language suggested she didn't appreciate the comment. While I was ordering, I wondered aloud if there was an option other than fries, and the server asked if I had ever been there before. I mentioned that we had dined there many times and was simply curious if a salad option was available, even for an extra charge. Additionally, we were seated near the tea station and while observing the plates coming out of the kitchen, I noticed the labels on the tea barrels were clear and easy to read, despite my less-than-perfect vision. Unfortunately, it was a very different experience today.

I wasn't satisfied with my breakfast, but my boyfriend ordered the Philly cheesesteak, and it was absolutely amazing! It was huge, delicious, and very reasonably priced. He also got a chocolate malt, but of course, he didn't share!

This is definitely my favorite restaurant! The staff is friendly, the prices are reasonable, and the food is delicious—it's my go-to spot for diner fare! If you haven't been here yet, I highly recommend checking it out!

We had burgers that we really enjoyed and the fries were good really good ?. We will be back!!!

Always a great food and service. There aren't many places left that are locally owned and operated. They really take care of our local law enforcement. Wish I could give more stars!
