My first and last visit, what a pity ...
We happened upon this restaurant and decided to eat here based on what looked like eclectic offerings of locally-sourced food, not German or Austrian fare, per se. So imagine my very pleasant surprise that this restaurant had--hands down--the best wiener schnitzel of all of my travels throughout Austria and Germany. It just had a very fresh taste with very well seasoned breadcrumbs, not bland. The parsnip soup was delicious too, as was the hot chocolate. Our waiter was very kind and attentive despite being clearly overworked that day! This is a restaurant you might easily overlook--but shouldn't.
Easily missed jewel in central Nuremberg. I cannot recall the details of my excellent meal but I do remember the excellent, attentive but not obtrusive, service. I would definitely go back.
It seemed that the dishes here were all some kind of a twist on more traditional german "everyday" dishes available in restaurants, like pea-mash spiced with mint with grilled chicken. The food was quite tasty, maybe a bit on the salty side. The service took care of the business as he should. Still, the overall feeling was somehow spiritless.
While walking in Nünberg we found the restaurant. The place is OK, but the service is unfriendly, the menu is poor and I find it a bit expensive. It was short before midday and we asked for breakfast, the answer was a plain NO and the statement: go somewhere else.2 Points for the restaurant and it's service. 1 extra point for the recommendation to go to Bar Celona for breakfast. There the food was great, the price of the buffet 11 eur; we were very happy after changing restaurant :)
