In 2021, spontaneously after the civil wedding for an aperitif...unforgettable. Spontaneously stopped in for dinner again today. Fantastic service, at its best, very fine and well eaten. Highly recommended. Will be back, still have so much to try. Thank you for the lovely evening. Price offer: Very good.

Good country pub, excellent cuisine. When we visited on a warm summer evening, the terrace was surprisingly full service was a bit inconsistent and we waited a little longer than usual. But everything was professional and very friendly. We will be back!

The big meeting room, garage, with a lot of free parking space, and a charger for electric cars was a first step when we chose to celebrate our company anniversary in Bären. We spent the whole day over there and felt like home. Everything was perfect from A-Z. The whole team, including the lady boss and her husband, spoke perfekt English, which was very important for us and our international guests. First, we had a meeting and a presentation of the company. The meeting room was perfectly equipped and met all our needs. Apero and Flying Lunch for 50 people was perfect. You can choose from many tasty appetizers, and they also offer a lot of vegan and vegetarian bites. The only small thing I can find is that Curry Häppchen wasn't spicy like we expected for our Asien guests to be, and not everyone had the same glass for Champagne, but we actually changed the last minute from Prosseco to Champagne, and the owners maybe didn't had enough time to organise that. In the evening, we had a 3 course dinner for 35 people, which was perfectly and quickly served. Very tasty lobster soup, fresh salad, and viel steak with mushroom sauce and rösti potatoes were delicious. We had a couple of vegan and vegetarian guests, and we were able to have very good homemade vegan and vegetarian meals for them to. We were allowed to bring our own desert, which was a present from our business partner. The owner of the restaurant went to the Zürich City himself and picked up the cake. We also get help with limousine service to bring our guests from and to the airport and train station. As a small business owner myself and a stranger in Switzerland, I could only recommend Gasthof zum Bären for all kinds of company celebrations. You will have 5 stars experience, almost the same as in the city centre, but you will be able to enjoy the warm and welcoming hospitality, and the very good countryside of Switzerland kitchen, at a very fair price.
