Pepperoni pizza had baby pepperoni's on top, you couldn't taste them, my wife had the standard tomato and cheese which was cold. Mind you they sat us out in the Forum lovely view of the church opposite, but pretty cold in February. Not a nice meal, trouble is I don't thing we will ever have a Pizza out again, I know restaurants are making savings where they can, but this was way too much.
A great venue for a catch up with family 5pm table. Absolute rip off! I am happy to pay over the odds for a good meal and good service, but Pizza Express at The Forum in Norwich failed this time. Just short of £200 for 5 of us for what, overcooked pizzas. The glasses for the drinks were tainted with a horrible chemical taste who knows what dishwasher chemicals are being used. The starters were good, and very nice as always. Mains arrived before the starter plates were cleared away, so we had to ask the staff to clear these away before trying to serve mains they were struggling to get the mains on the table. They found a spare table, then cleared our starter plates away. Then brought our mains over but no cutlery, so we then had to ask for cutlery. Leggera Gamberetti was a shocker the middle just filled with grotty rocket with salad dressing drizzled over, the base was so crispy I could have used it as a frisby really at £15.95! Crust not edible. Six of us in our party 5 had pizza but we all struggled cutting as they were overcooked. Most of us left the crusts. cutlery not fit for purpose. 5 desserts order, 3 arrived had to beckon over a member of staff to ask for the other 2 but during this time the 3 in the party had just about finished their dessert otherwise the ice cream would have melted. Coffee was just plonked down, spilt! Had to ask for a spoon to stir. Overall a terrible terrible time, and we will not be returning sadly. The above was all mentioned to the staff, we got an apology but overall Pizza Express need to get their act together. From other reviews we have looked at today we are not alone!!!!
Ordered smoky bbq chicken, it was the worst pizza I’ve ever had!. Sloppy and flavourless, wasn’t even cut, won’t be ordering again.
The restaurant was extremely crowded and the other diners were so close to our table of 10 that we could hardly move. The staff was rude, slow, and disorganized, ignoring us for nearly 30 minutes. It took over an hour for our main courses to arrive, resulting in terrible slow service. One person in our party had to leave because her parking ticket expired before she received her pizza. Additionally, our three young children never received the desserts included in the kids menu, as we gave up waiting for service on desserts and coffee after sitting down at 5pm and waiting until 7pm. The children were falling asleep at the table. My Caesar salad was the worst I have ever had, and the pizzas were average. The waitress initially brought us an opened and partially drunk bottle of wine, which she replaced when we complained, but the new bottle was still corked and unopened. We had to call her back to open it for us. There was no reduction in the bill for the lack of kids desserts, but at that point, we just wanted to leave. This place is a disaster - don't even bother!
We received a phone call early in the morning asking us to arrive at 2pm and place our order by 2:15pm as the restaurant was closing early at 4pm that day. When we arrived, we were seated at a dirty table that had not been set, and had to request for it to be cleaned which was inconvenient. Our starters arrived before our drinks, and our mains were missing prawns and pepperoni. To make matters worse, we were informed at 3pm that there were no hot desserts available as the ovens had been turned off. After expressing our dissatisfaction, a manager apologized and acknowledged the mistakes. Spending over £200, we did not expect this level of disappointment. Overall, the experience was disappointing and has significantly deteriorated.
