The traditional pub is lovely, with a charming landlady and a great jukebox. The home cooked food is delicious. We will definitely be returning, as this is exactly how pubs should be. Well done to all!

An absolute gem. Lovely atmosphere and great, friendly staff. The food is home cooked, very well priced and gorgeous. There are always lots of vegetarian options which works for us. I cannot recommend The Alex highly enough. My favourite pub in Norwich.

A lovely pub one that isn’t spoilt by over refurbishment allowing it to retain its character . Staff are always friendly , prices extremely reasonable and food of a good wholesome nature also very reasonably priced !

The Alex has become a regular for me. A real ale pub serving properly kept ale and good, wholesome and reasonably priced food. Friendly, welcoming staff. Unpretentious and 'down to earth '.
