Applebee's Grill - Norton

The service was very good . The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was ok. I had the strawberry chicken salad. Big chain places like this are always hit or miss. The decor in this place was good, sort of a sports bar spot.

Food is good and the waiters are good but the manager is not that nice and food is kinda cold.

Food is what you expect at an Applebees, but the bartender and other employees are the sh!t. Very friendly and helpful. I'll be back every time I'm in the area.

All around not good. Poor service. Mediocre overpriced food. A spill in the floor remained covered by a caution sign, instead of being cleaned, for the entire hour and a half I was there. No management in sight.

We (Fiance ' and I) decided to stop to get some good food. We get in the door, we were told to wait, while the hostess came out. There was 2 other people waiting in the seating area for a table. The Hostess gets out there, and asks if we have called to make a reservation. My fiance ' replies No, do we need One? The hostess replies, Yes, we require you to call and get on the list . I replied, Are you kidding me? Hostess looks at us both, a snobby look on her face, as if we did something wrong. We have never had a problem before getting into this establishment. We were dressed casually like all the times before. Anyway, there were only 2 tables occupied, the hostess replied, that we were not going to get a table, there was a list of people who called in, and made reservations. My fiance ' replied, that we would go to the Applebee 's in Kingsport, TN. Trust me, when I tell you, this place is a dump, they have went downhill, from what it used to be. Applebee 's in Norton,VA needs to be closed, the entire staff needs to be fired, and a new crew trained. Currently,They have lost their edge, and have gained a bad reputation. Take my advice, drive the extra miles and go to the Applebee 's in Kingsport, Tennessee. They know how to treat you like you are Somebody special. The parking lots stays full and the staff are professionally trained, the food arrives at your table fresh, hot and delicious.
