フィードバックを提供するBest Japanese food I've had in a long time. Everyone I've introduced to Yokoso has become a regular. Great food and atmosphere. Yaki yaki platter is good to share as entree. Good sake and wine list. The chef came to our table to make her informed suggestion as to my request. The restaurant is always busy. Booth and table seating. Book ahead.
It's a big call but this is the best Japanese restaurant in Melbourne. The food is always fresh and anything on the menu is unbelievable. Give it a shot you won't be disappointed
I have eaten here a few times since they have opened and it's a great choice in an area with many places to choose from when eating out in Northcote. The interior is warm and inviting, the perfect place for couples or a small group of friends. The service is prompt and very friendly. The food at Yokoso is the real treat here, there is so much variety on the menu and it's perfect for sharing or ordering individually. The food is fresh and beautifully presented on contemporary Japanese crockery.Fully licensed, there is a small, but well chosen wine list and an abundance of saki to choose from. For a well priced Japanese meal, you will not be disappointed. This place is more suitable for adults, so leave the kids at home.
This place is tucked away on High Street but the interior is beautiful. The menu has a lot of variety compared to some other local Japanese restaurants which I loved and the food does not disappoint ! Staff are professional, prompt and friendly. Only thing I would say are some of the entrees are a little pricey, some $15.50 for one dish makes it hard to order a couple as well as mains !!! Overall would definitely recommend.
Jane and I visited last weekend after deciding that we wanted to try the new breed of Japanese restaurants that have cropped up in High Street, having done the Dojo Ramen Bar a couple of weeks back.Yokoso was good, very good even, but didn't quite match Dojo Ramen for us.If this had been the first stop of our Japanese restaurant 'tour', we would have rated it fairly high. The staff were attentive, service good, the food good etc. I really liked the dessert selection, which had good 'Japanese influenced' dishes. The decor set a good atmosphere, but it was noisy when full, and it was full most of the time we were there.Yokoso should do well, but we'd only go there if we couldn't get in to Dojo.
