フィードバックを提供するThe restaurant has a fantastic location and friendly staff, but I was disappointed with the Roast Beef for Sunday Lunch. It appeared and tasted as if it had been cooked earlier, sliced thinly, and then reheated on top of hot vegetables with gravy. It was not cooked to the requested medium rare, but instead was closer to medium to well-done. It did not meet the expectations set by the menu.

While enjoying our meal, we were quite surprised to discover that the kitchen was using meat-based gravy on vegan roasts. It was truly disheartening on multiple levels... Our family became aware of this situation through a very upset member of the front-of-house staff who was serving us. She overheard kitchen staff discussing the matter, and it appeared that this had been an ongoing issue for several months. To add to our dismay, it was also brought to our attention that the carrots were glazed with honey, making them unsuitable for vegans as well! For any fellow vegans who may have dined at the Windmill recently, I personally urge you to consider reporting this to the council's food safety team. Regrettably, there was no apology, nor any form of meal compensation. Just a nonchalant shrug of the shoulders.
Lovely pub with lush views. Staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was amazing. The food arrived in plenty of time. However, portions were very small for the cost of the meal. The waitress was constantly asking if we wanted more drinks when, in fact, more food for the money they were asking would have been nice.
I and my friend have been here two or three time times and really enjoyed it this last occasion on Saturday 9/9 late lunchtime . It's a smartly presented place with a brilliant elevated view of the Severn estuary from a lovely dining area, I'm fan of the panoramic windows. The staff are all great and the service and food consistently very good. A couple of times (including this last visit we were served by Hannah, who was brilliant super professional, there when she needed to be, not there when she didn't, and with a great energy. Life all the staff, she's very easy to like: also a mention for the guy who was walking the upper deck with her (Daniel? , the guy that brought my cracking fish and chips, the lady on front of house and all the behind the scenes peeps.
