フィードバックを提供するI live in pa and cried to order a gift card for a friend in ri, the lucky dogs best eat in the city I loved talking with jennifer who was more than helpful. it was from a group of employees to our leader, so she mentioned that she had some Christmas cards to house and she would like to send. not only did she, but she was extremely patient, wrote all the names together with our personal benevolence. I hear that eating is fantastic, but the customer service she had delivered from states was beyond and beyond.
This is a kovid 19 takeout review. all foods are eaten fresh in the vehicle. I ordered the bigga meatball and the pulled pork grill cheese sandwich. both were excellent. the meatball came with simple sauce, so everyone was covered with a very good sauce. the meatball itself was nicely cooked, moist and tasteful. the sandwich had also great taste, the pulled pork, cheddar cheese and swirl combined for a large flavor combination. the pommes were the coaster. plain and tasteless, they added nothing to the meal. on a scale of 0-10 I would rate this 8.8
The first time in Lucky Dog Tavern was on a busy Friday night. Restaurant is cozy and seating approx. 50 people. The bar seat was occupied and the waiting time for a table was about 45 minutes. We stood near the bar and had a glass of wine and Martin while we waited. After about 15 minutes, two bar stools opened, so we sat at the bar. We started with a charcuterie board and rattles, then Steak and Scallops special and mussels with Linguine. Both appetizers were quite full and most of the entrees went home in a togo box. Overall, the food was gourmet, service friendly and not too expensive.
The drinks were great and very refreshing. The Tuna Tatake Crab-Scallop-Lobster cake appetizers were excellent. We had the filled Lazy Mans Lobster Lachs-Oscar for Entrees. They were all fantastic. They ran out of the potato basket for the salmon so had to replace mixed vegetables, so it was disappointing as I heard so much of them. The service was very good and safe about what you are in a place like North Smithfield, RI....but say that and read again that only brings to light how these non-city restaurants will give you service, food and experience that you only get in the city. This place is so worthy of Downtown Boston if not because you get a friendly welcome feeling not only from the staff but also from other diners. When closing these small town houses steal the show and appreciate the ride from the city to its warm and welcoming entrance. I'll make many more visits here.
First, the service here is some of the best I had. Period. Don't let the tavern throw in the name. This is a first-class restaurant that is very praised to follow with a loyal local. Yes, reservations are recommended. We were lucky to have room at the bar. You would think bar service could be less, but it was the absolute best. Gary was the personable, poised and efficient server I had in years. Maybe ever. He also had a teammate behind the bar who was just as friendly. The food is incredible. The sauce on the Calamari made the whole dish. My husband had a lobster duck that was not only delicious, but incredibly beautiful. We went big to the meal because we celebrated our anniversary. Yeah, you guessed.
