Gills Fish - North Shields

This is the worst fish shop I have ever visited. There was only one person serving and one person frying during busy peak times. I had to wait 20 minutes for a greasy serving of fish and chips, which made me feel sick twice. The food was absolutely terrible.

The fish was improperly cooked twice and the chips were very hard and not fresh at all. This is the worst fish and chips in North Shields.

Ive used this fish shop for years the fish is freshly served the people are friendly good quality

This is a lovely fish and chip shop and I have attended it for year. it is really clean and the staff are friendly. I think the food here is nicer than from the nearby fish quay. my one and only tiny gripe which could also be a bonus is that quite often you need to wait for fresh fish to be cooked (about five min) but it is worth it. It is not greasy at all contrary to another review.
