Kasalong Thai Cuisine - North Ryde

A friend and I dropped in for dinner before going to a game at Homebush. We informed them that we had 45 minutes to eat and get out.Starters and main were brought quite quickly (the restaurant was quite empty at that time). Good food. We ordered too much food for two and left overs were packed up as takeaway by staff.

This was not your usual Thai as it had dishes from different parts of Thailand.....very unique and enjoyable, pleasant staff and quick service. Support your local business and give this a try and you will be pleasantly surprised.

We have been to this restaurant several times.We like the food, it is a little different from run of the mill Thai food, though some dishes are a bit on the greasy side.Balcony dining is nice in summer. The service can be a bit patchy and you can bet that if you are inside on a weekend, it is a noisy restaurant.Their home delivery is pretty good and is very quick during the week.Worth a try if you are local and want something different from the run of the mill Thai noodle joints.

The service was friendly, but a bit slow. The food was delicious. The price was reasonable. The decor was lovely. It was an enjoyable meal.

We went on a Tuesday night, so there weren't many other people in the restaurant. We ordered Red duck curry, pork kasalong stir fry, rice, roti and drinks. Initial meals arrived with a gap of several minutes until the rice was also served. I must say the curry was really good. We loved the red curry and vegetables. However, we never received either the drinks or the roti bread we ordered. We were never checked on by the wait staff or we would have mentioned this. In the end we just paid by approaching the counter otherwise we would have been waiting all night. Overall, nice food but it was let down by total inattention by wait staff. We won't bother going back again, there are a lot more options for thai food in the area with far better service.
