The Yellow House - North Rustico

The service and food here are top notch. Highly recommend their lobster rolls. Delicious house made bun and tons of lobster with fresh herbs. Comes with a side of chips, coleslaw and potato salad. I think the best lobster roll on PEI!!!

The Yellow House was near our accommodation and, after reading reviews about "the best lobster rolls", we had to try them. This pretty,well maintained house on the water's edge is primarily take out with very limited seating.The menu is posted on the wall and you order at the counter. The lady is so nice!! BUT, they were out of lobster roll makings and suggested we come back later! Not to be deterred,we returned closer to dinner and picked up an order to go. Their version of a lobster roll didn't come close to the best we had in PEI. In fact, we rated it #5 of the 5 we tried. The toasted bun was rounded and the lobster meat was minced - very few large pieces.It came with slaw, a tasty potato salad and potato chips plain and sweet potato mixed. The lovely lady was very confident in their product and sent us on our way with" See you tomorrow!" I hope she wasn't too disappointed!

Stopped here for lunch as part of a package from Knit Picker's. The food was delightful! Had a bowl of fresh greens topped with lobster, breaded & fried mussels, sheep's cheese, & strawberries. All locally sourced. Best for small groups. Indoor seating is limited.

Three of us had lunch at this small new restaurant. We had phoned ahead to reserve a table (one of four indoor tables) because of rain in the forecast. Jennifer, the owner, is a terrific host, and their food is completely delicious. We had a lobster roll (with black garlic aioli sauce), their signature Yellow House Burger, and a chowder that was so full of seafood that it was hard to get the spoon in. Some of the best food we’ve eaten in a long time. We noted the attention to detail – Jennifer cleaned and sanitized the chairs and tables after guests had finished. Highly recommended.

The Yellow House goes out of its way to provide interesting and yummy meals. We ate here a couple of times. Enjoyed the lobster roll, the salmon burger, and the cod burger. Everything was fresh and looked amazing on the plate! Highly recommend it.
