Captains Cove Cafe - North Rustico

Meh! Don't waste your time with average when there's so much good around. We were enticed by the patio and lobster burger, but there are nicer patios and the lobster burger was disappointingly no more than a small lobster roll on a burger bun for $27. Service was good, buy beer selection sub par!

The place was slammed. It's a small seaside place. My wife and I waited for 25 minutes to be seated. We were taken to the patio outside overlooking the water. (The host said the best seat in the house. We were seated for 25 minutes and saw 2 other groups seated, drink orders and appetizers delivered to them. Our server Kaylee was missing in action for our entire wait. Another table was waiting to get their bill. She appeared cleared that table and totally ignored us. We had no choice but to get up and leave. Can't review the food as we never even had a sniff of any. Overall our visit to PEI was amazing but the downside and our experience for the entire month of July was restaurants overbooked or understaffed. Too bad because foodies should be able to experience the seafood that is so bountiful here.

Potato chips appetizer is worth the price of admission. Fish chips, shrimp, scallops excellent.

Mum and dad had fish and chips and onions rings, excellent! I had a side of fries which were delicious. Great service, friendly people! Would recommend for a great lunch!

Had their seafood chowder (it was marvelous, several good size while shrimp and many of the small scallops, all perfectly cooked and tender and fresh, nothing rubbery and overdone as is common in chowder) and a great lobster bun. Nice view from the outdoor deck.
