Angelika's German Pastry Shop

The limped goods here are some of the best I ever had. I wish I bought more. I was in Germany and their cakes and pastries are so good if not better.

I had the chance to taste a number of Angelika's pastries from her stand on the Charlottetown Farmers' Market and they are always such a treat. Their tiramisu is just divine and all their pastries come in very generous portions enough that... You could share with someone (but you don't want, given how delicious they are! .

Coming from Germany gladly finding a little jewel on P.E.I. Angelika`s German Pastries in Hunter River. What a delight her BLACK FOREST TORTE, original made with real Kirsch. We enjoyed it on her deck with a wonderful cup of Coffee. She makes every cup...fresh. We also had her savoury snacks with spinach, topped with Ham and Cheese. We also needed a GF Birthday Cake and she was very helpful and friendly finding the perfect one for us. We decided on a TRIPLE CHOCOLATE which is also named SACHERTORTE, like the world famous hotel SACHER in Vienna, Austria. It couldn`t be more chocolaty and smooth at the time. Everybody loved it and graved for more. We were so glad visiting Angelika.

We were spending Labour Day weekend on the island and celebrating my husband’s 50th birthday (an amateur baker and professional cake eater). I emailed Angelika's and they helped me pick the Banana Torte and make sure I ordered the right size for the number of...guests. The cake was a hit ... no, a HUGE HIT! They were closed on Saturday but made arrangements for me to pick up the cake at the Charlottetown Farmers Market. Which worked out perfectly, so many great vendors at the Market. And the true test was how moist and delicious the cake was the next day for dessert with breakfast! Angelika's will always be on our itinerary when we visit the island!

We have Angelica's cakes and treats since our arrival in PEI in March and this is a source of joy especially during the lockdown. It is not only because of the excellent, delicious taste of desserts, as it is always very attentive to freshness...and the best quality of their ingredients, but above all, the professional and friendly service we had. And of course there were always some extra, free tasting and treats. The most beautiful tokens were a greeting card for my newborn grandson. In short, their desserts are all made of love.
