Monterey Jack's - North Lanarkshire

My partner and I visited this restaurant for the first time tonight. Unfortunately, the Bacardi and Coke I ordered was flat, I was served a cloudy lemonade instead of a mojito, and the pints were stale. The restaurant was also cold and they did not have any desserts or ice cream available. Overall, I will not be returning to this restaurant.

My family of four visited the restaurant today. We ordered two portions of nachos to share, but they were larger than expected - we could have just ordered one. The kids loved their milkshakes. For our main dishes, we had pizza, a burger, and chicken strips, all of which were delicious. We were too full for dessert, but the menu had a good selection. The restaurant was quiet, especially for a Saturday, but the service was quick and excellent. We took home any leftovers in a pizza box. We will definitely be returning in the future.

Based on a recommendation from our family, we decided to dine at this restaurant and we were pleasantly surprised. When we went on a Wednesday afternoon, the restaurant was peaceful with only two staff members working. The environment was tidy and cozy. Our waitress, Chloe, was friendly and provided helpful information about the menu. We even had the chance to chat with the chef, William, who displayed great passion for his work and the dishes he prepared. We will certainly return the next time we are in the area.

On arrival restaurant appeared closed as staff looked a bit bewildered when we walked in and took a while to seat us even though the table was precooked. Food drinks was ordered without fault however cider was served in bottle glass but was only drink to not have ice in the glass ? Food took a very long time to be served even though the restaurant was empty. Once the food was served the macaroni burger had to be returned as the macaroni on the burger was fridge cold, this issue took another long time to correct and once reserved the burger everyone else had finished their meals. Burger buns were cold to the touch and dissolved when attempting to eat burgers, have to say these buns were worse in quality than that of drive thru fast food, not an £8-12 burger without sides) ! Chicken burgers, simply put just no. Served as whole chicken breast which was uneven and made all toppings on the burger slide like crazy. Chicken was tough and poor, felt like the burger was either old or cooked from frozen, would advise to avoid chicken at all costs. Beef burgers were fairly average, no real taste of grill or anything so lacked flavor. Deposit system is a joke as you cant book for 5 and cant predict how busy a restaurant you 've never been to will be only for them to cancel 1 person £10) deposit for no show and to deal with it you need to dispute this on the restaurant. student discount is a nice touch however the advertised 10% only took 8.3% off. All the issue combined just left our table disappointed in what was supposed to be a nice night out to celebrate birthdays. Would recommend others to avoid this place and try other Monterey jacks as they appear to be held to better standards.

Have dined in store a few times, food is average at best. However ordered a delivery once and would not recommend. Food ordered for 7 people, things were missing, food was cold, the pizza was a wrap with cheese on it ? Not kidding it was a measly thin base and looked like it had been flung in the box. We phoned to complain as the food was over 40 minutes late also and were told we’d get it sent back out, pizzas again came looking like they had been flung about, missing items AGAIN. Really really bad.
