Esquires Coffee House

This coffee shop has the potential to be charming, but unfortunately, the staff and cleanliness issues really bring it down. The three women working at the counter were quite rude and unaccommodating. When we ordered a brownie, we received a small slice from the back that was much smaller than the ones on display at the front. When we politely asked if we could exchange it before taking it to our table, the women muttered amongst themselves, rolled their eyes, and begrudgingly complied. Later, when I went to pay for some crisps, the server rudely dismissed me by saying, "I'm serving someone." Additionally, the state of the restroom suggested it had not been cleaned in months, which raises concerns about the overall hygiene of the establishment. It's disappointing because the coffee shop has potential, but due to these experiences, we will not be returning.

It appears that the staff prioritizes creating a positive work environment over attending to customers. The service is inconsistent, with long wait times for basic orders. On top of that, they even managed to mess up part of the order, causing further frustration. The coffee and cake were also nothing special, making the overall visit disappointing. It's a shame, as the restaurant looked promising from the outside.

I have been a regular customer of this coffee shop for a long time and had previously put up with the slow service and delays in clearing tables. However, the situation has only gotten worse. Tables are rarely cleared and the floors are often littered with scraps and other debris throughout the day. Yesterday, I went to use the restroom and was disgusted to find the entire floor covered in urine just three hours after opening. There were no tissues or soap for hand washing, and the overflowing bin added to the already unbearable smell. It is shocking that they neglect cleanliness, especially when serving food and drinks, despite having enough staff. I will never visit this coffee shop again as the poor sanitation makes me feel sick, especially considering the high prices they charge.

WE popped into this stylishly decorated coffee shop for a light breakfast . Whilst the surroundings and lowq3yemwj9 music were very pleasant, the welcome from the lady behind the counter was disappointingly absent. A too brusque ' be with you in a moment ' was uncalled for and would far better have been replaced with a 'good morning ' or simply 'Hello ' Whilst our breakfast croissants were quite satisfactory ,our coffees were only just hot enough to drink and lacking in flavour or body. Too much milk foam clearly being considered a substitute for both these characteristics. We will not be returning but will sadly take our breakfast breaks to other near by 'chain ' establishments

Had coffee with friends this morning,quick service coffee was ok.Used there toilet which needs a revamp or a deep clean,it’s very dirty !
