The fries were greasy and had a soggy texture. We waited 45 minutes from the time I placed my order until we finally received our food. Additionally, the entire interior was filled with smoke, apparently from someone burning food on the grill. The staff seemed more interested in their phones than in helping customers, and it was shocking to see they were not wearing uniforms or gloves while handling our food. It was just a ridiculous situation all around.
Waited 30 minutes in the drive thru and had to go inside to place our order. The cashier could not ring in order and needed 2 others to help. The cook arranged him with dirty fingernails before he cooks the food. The whole kitchen was scary and in desperate need of a deep cleanliness. The dining room and the beverage machine needed an increase. Pretty disgusting.
This Burger King is incredibly disappointing, as their lobby is almost never open. Some customers drive trucks that are too large to go through the drive-thru, which makes it frustrating for them. It used to be a decent location, but now not only is the lobby frequently closed, but the staff often appears to be more interested in their phones than in helping customers. The food takes an unreasonable amount of time to prepare, and my order is often incorrect. It's no surprise that many fast-food locations are closing down. It's unfortunate because I really enjoy the food.
This location has consistently provided poor service, and it seems like the employees frequently disappear behind the counter during long wait times. Recently, I tried ordering through the mobile app to help manage the wait, but when I arrived, the dining room was locked. Surprisingly, the Burger King app still allowed me to schedule a pickup at the indoor counter. Burger King is typically one of my favorite fast food options, but since moving to Charleston, I've had mostly unpleasant experiences at various locations.
I could always rely on Burger King to offer me a delicious sandwich, except this time. They were out of the chicken, they were out of the ice, they no longer served half the burgers on their menu. I ordered a great king and the lady gave me a simple double chopper, although the entrance said double chopper and not my great king. Management needs to intensify and resolve these problems.
