Halal Boys Nj - North Brunswick

The Halal Boys Square in NJ was fabulous. I was greeted like a family when I went to the door. They have many options on their menu, including vegan items. You can go or you have the opportunity to eat. Your bathrooms are so clean and it smells good. You even have a bathroom for the handicap. Hell I give u 5 stars only smells good for it. This was my first time here and I'm so glad I stopped and ate here. I got the fried chicken and it was really good. Even the chest was juicy. They are located in a shopping center where there are many parking spaces even disabled parking.

The food looked good but tasted just as bland and distasteful. I felt as though I had wasted my money. I got the zinger burger which tasted mediocre and smelled as if it was fried in old oil. The green chicken was bland, no seasoning, no salt. The chicken cheese kabob was mediocre too. We asked for spicy fried chicken and they require you to buy a large batch to get it spicy. They don?t know what they?re doing. I was really looking forward to eating there and was very disappointed. The assistant cook was very nice he told us that they keep the food bland for customers that don?t eat spicy food but to be honest, even aside from the spice, the food had no flavor profile. They desperately need a real chef.

This can be my next go-to spot. The food was very fresh and had all the flavors it should have. I ordered the falafel, lamb and green tikka masala platters, and they were all really amazing, just a tad bit on the oilier side though. The prices are very reasonable. Even though it was a but busy when we went, the lady who took our order, made sure to follow up with us. The decor needs some more work and they need to get there own special recipe hot sauce.

Been here twice, the experience was different both time. The food was a little stale and not really up to the mark the first time, but the service was good, since it was not crowded. The second time, the food was awesome, freshly made, it took 20 minutes for the food to come, but it was crowded. The owners are trying to make a sincere effort to get this going, but since they are new, the kinks are still not ironed out and the people serving seemed out of their element and flustered. Having said that, I think, given time they will improve, as long as they maintain the food quality. Also, make sure that the 10% off on all orders coupon is entered before you start ordering the food, they cannot enter after you order it.

The place is good with good number of seating capacity. The order was quick. I ordered the fresh grilled chicken sandwichand it was 3/5. I found the meat was in less quantity and the salad was added more. Most of the reviews that I write are 5/5 and genuine but this one just felt to be 3/5. Since they just started I would give them another try few months later. They do have restrooms (unisex).
