The Boat Bar & Grill - North Bay

First time at the boat and I was Impressed. We ate on the deck had a beautiful water view. The food was great had a Caesar salad wrap, fry, gravy on the side (gravy was cold). We were a party of 7. Our group had steak salad, poutine, chicken fingers, and burger. Everything looked extremely delicious however the burger bun was quite burnt. I would definitely return with my family

Visited The Boat on a beautiful sunny Wednesday at noon. It was fairly busy but we got a table right way. Got menus and ordered drinks. Got the drinks and ordered the food. One hour later the food came out. The fries were stone cold. They forgot the onion on the burger and the salmon on the plank bread was nowhere to be found. We had been there just a week earlier and it was more crowded but the food was much better than this visit. The location and the setting is perfect to bring guests to but when the food sucks I will have to stick with Burger World.

We were in North Bay for vacation and this restaurant was refered to us. It's mostly pub food. The food was ok except for the poutine, the gravy was lumpy and taste like burnt or old sauce. The view of the lake from the patio is great, The staff friendly.

The menu at the boat is terrific. It has been a while since I have been to this restaurant and I found it to be vastly improved. This restaurant is our old Chief Commanda tourist boat that is permanently moored at the waterfront. It is right at the edge of Lake Nipissing and you can watch the Chief Commanda II go out on the scenic tours. The staff are friendly and efficient. It is usually quite busy and a hotspot at night so don't expect to rush through the order/eat/get your bill process.

I love this lakeside patio that surrounds an old boat and quite often go for a couple cold beers but rarely for food. My first meal I had the turkey burger and my friend had the veggie burger. Both were obviously frozen processed products purchased from the restaurant supplier and very bland and tasteless. The fries however were fabulous. My second time I had the PLT which was a pickerel lettuce and tomato sandwich and was pleasantly surprised. I had this last year and it was soggy but this time it was hot crisp and delicious. My friend had a burger and said it was OK but she was very pleased with the gluten free bun. And once again the fries were great. People beside us were having flat breads and they looked very good as well
