フィードバックを提供するThe chips were extremely crispy and sharp like needles, and my husband ordered fritters the next day which were overly greasy and dripping with an intense orange color. He only managed to eat one because it made him sick, and they were unusually thin.
I ordered delivery from this restaurant and got a chicken supper, sausage supper, fish supper, fritters, and two fritter rolls with cheese and curry. The food was amazing, really hot, and they even remembered to include extra salt and vinegar. I have been going to this place at least once a week for years, and I have never had a bad meal or snack. I have loved this place since I was a kid going in with my grandmother 30 years ago. Keep up the good work!
I recently visited Mammas Chip Shop in Irvine to purchase three fritters priced at 70p each. However, upon arriving home, I discovered that one of the fritters was not as expected – it consisted mostly of batter with a thin slice of potato. When I contacted Mammas to express my disappointment, I was informed that they had no control over the potato thickness and the call ended abruptly. Surprised by their response, I returned to the restaurant to speak with the Owner/Manager, Marco. Despite initially asserting that I had received three fritters as ordered, Marco eventually acknowledged the discrepancy in the sizes of the fritters. However, he refused to provide a replacement or refund, stating that the subpar fritter was acceptable. Disheartened by their lack of customer service, I left Mammas without a resolution. It is evident that Mammas could benefit from training their staff in proper customer service. I am extremely disappointed and do not plan on returning to Mammas in the future.
Ordered fish and chips and battered sausage, it was delivered 90 minutes later and all stuck together in one wrapper. a handful of chips and skinny fish that was disgusting, the batter was stuck to the sausage. and i paid £16 for that. i would avoid this place in future, not what it used to be.
Regular customers both collection and delivery however after today will not be back. Ordered chicken nugget kids meal as usual and small fish supper. I have stomach problems and the reason I buy from here is the chicken nuggets are usually actual chicken not cheap minced chicken. When we arrived home I noticed as soon as I opened that it was not the usual nuggets I opened it and saw it was minced chicken. I tried one bite it was tasteless and clearly cheap rubbish. My partner also said the fish was just small pieces and he put his straight in the bin. The chips were also not fresh and clearly been lying a while. I phoned and immediately the girl said they had changed the nuggets, I asked why they didn’t tell him that and she passed me to her manager. As soon as he took the phone his attitude was evident and he asked “what the problem was they were still chicken nuggets”. I advised him the reason I purchased from his shop was because they are usually “real chicken” not minced chicken. He repeatedly said “they are still chicken nuggets I don’t see the problem, my supplier didn’t have them”. I told him I couldn’t eat them as they were clearly minced chicken but he was not interested. He made it clear he knew who my Partner was so I asked “why didn’t you tell him they were different” his response was the same “they are still chicken nuggets”. He made no apology and no attempt at refund until I asked and he reluctantly said “next time he’s in he can get them but it won’t be for at least a week”. Unknown to me my Partner who was eating in another room had already put his fish supper in the bin as it was broken into tiny pieces and the chips weren’t fresh. So to the person who calls himself “Big Chief Martin” and claims to be the owner you have now lost regular customers. Last week we also had a problem the special fish was over cooked and the curry sauce watered down very runny but we put it down to a “one off incident”. I will be contacting Consumer Direct and Environmental health and ask them to check these “chicken nuggets” to see how much chicken is actually in them. You know who we are and our address and I would appreciate a full refund. To anyone else please bear this in mind, I highly doubt with anyone attitude like that we are the only customers having bad experiences. Had we been given an apology or had he said he couldn’t get his usual nuggets to a regular customer he would have ordered something else as he’s aware I don’t eat or feed my Family minced chicken. Someone really needs to take a hard look at that ego as you will soon be out of business with an attitude like that. I am shocked, disappointed and angry at how I was spoken to. Someone clearly trying to impress younger staff members with a foul manner unfortunately just made yourself look like an idiot.
