One of the most amazing dining experiences I have ever had! The location is not easy to see and the outside sign blends in with the roof, which does not help, but inside it has a very cozy and warm feeling. But that is not what this review is about. We went on a Friday night and the entire experience was beyond exceptional! Michele was our server and she just has this radiance and glow about her that spreads joy all around. Her husband David was singing throughout the evening these old classic nostalgic songs and invited guests to dance, so we danced! Michele also joined in for a duet with David. The chef came out to our table to personally check on us. The owner, Tom, was also there and you could tell that he cares and wants to create the best experience possible. We ordered three pizzas and they were all phenomenal. Some of the best pizzas I have ever had! The dough is thin and delicious and unlike any I have tasted on a pizza before.A restaurant can have good food, good service, and a pleasant atmosphere, but rarely do you find some much warmth and spirit like we experienced here. On top of that, the food and service was exceptional. I cannot describe it, but we went home feeling elated with how magical the experience was!We consider this a gem of Nokomis and this will be a go to place for us when taking people out to dinner with us.
NEVER, EVER BEEN TO A RESTAURANT WHERE THE OWNER ASKED IF WE WERE INTERESTED IN BUYING THE PLACE!!!!!What a poor introduction to this eatery where my friend and I had never even been before. Only 1 other couple was in the entire restaurant, and yet the service was extremely slow. When the waitress finally introduced herself as Laura, she was ready to take our orders, except she apologized that she forgot her pad, so she went to get it.For such a little eatery the prices were extremely high, certainly not what we expected. We both ordered LASAGNA and I must say, even though it was prepared like no other lasagna I have ever tasted in my life, it was good. No salad or anything to go with it.We got some bread and butter, but Laura forgot that we needed bread plates, so she had to go get those when I pointed that out to her.We had wine with dinner, but I really was not at all impressed with this place. High prices but not at all worth it!I DO NOT recommend this place
My friend and I wanted to try this place for dinner, and as we walked in, we were asked by the owners IF WE WANTED TO BUY THE PLACE?????? Seriously, who ever heard of such a thing, this is how you greet customers? There was only 1 other couple in the whole place, yet the service was extremely slow. Laura wanted to take our order, then realized she did not have her notepad. Really??? We both decided on the LASAGNA, which was made an entirely different way than either of us had ever had, but it was good. Some bread and butter was all we got, no other sides whatsoever. The prices were WAY TOO EXPENSIVE for what they were serving, and so I cannot in good faith recommend this place.
When my friend and I entered this place, we were asked by the owner if we were interested in BUYING THE RESTAURANT!!!! Whoever heard of such a thing, that was definitely not a good beginning. The place was empty except for one other couple, and yet the service was extremely slow. Laura, our waitress was ready to take our order, then realized she forgot her notepad, so had to go get it. Really???? We both decided on LASAGNA, made an entirely different way than what we ever had before, but it was good. Other than some bread and butter, we got nothing on the side. OVERPRICED, POOR SERVICE, FOOD JUST OK, will not recommend this place.
