Pedego Electric Bikes Norfolk - Nob

My wife and I just purchased a Pedego Boomerang Plus and a Boomerang Platinum from Pedego Electric Bikes of Norfolk. I would like to share our very positive purchasing experience.Our journey into E Bike Ownership started a couple of weeks ago when we were exposed to our first E Bike and a friend told us about Pedego. I began to conduct research on the internet and on YouTube to try to educate myself, somewhat, about this extremely popular style of bikes. Quickly, I learned that there are many and I mean many companies that sell e bikes. The majority of the companies do not have stores where you can test ride a bike prior to purchase. You make the purchase and the bike is shipped. It arrives in a box and then you have to put it together and fine tune it. I personally want no part in becoming a bike repair specialist so I was not going to buy a bike from one of these companies.Thursday of last week I visited the Pedego Norfolk Store and explained to the owner, Amy Oliver, that my wife and I were interested in e bikes. However, we had no experience at all with this style of bikes and were starting out at ground zero. Amy showed me several Pedego Models and explained the benefits of owning a Pedego. Some of the key benefits, at least to me, are 5 year warranty, theft protection if you purchase a Pedego Lock with the bike purchase, the company only produces e bikes and they are only sold through dealerships. Prior to leaving I made arrangements with Amy to return with my wife on Saturday at Noon for a test ride around downtown Norfolk with her.I think it has been 25 years since I last rode my mountain or rode bike and probably longer than that for my wife. We both approached the ride on Saturday with some apprehension. When we arrived Amy greated us and reviewed all the safety and operational features of the bikes we were going to ride. She provided us with a Sena Bike Helmet that would allow us to talk to each other via Bluetooth Connection.The only thing I can say about the intial take off on the e bike was Wow this is not your old traditional bike! Amy took us around down town Norfolk and we were both sold that E Bikes were right for us. When we got back to the store we purchased a Boomerang Plus for her and a Boomerang Platinum for me. So exciting.If you are thinking about an E Bike I highly recommend you visit Pedego Norfolk. Amy Oliver never pushed us toward buying a bike. She guided us toward bike models best suited for our age group and let the test ride sell the bikes.

Amy and Rich helped us this morning. A full 7 hours later we returned the bikes after having a fantastic day. Covered lots of ground, stopped at a brewery and the battleship. Could have had a better day. Bikes worked perfect fly and were easy to ride as first time riders.

We rented electric bicycles for half a day and had a great time ! It was the first time for both of us and we loved it. The rental process was quick and easy and so was learning to use the bikes. Great way to check out the surrounding areas.

We absolutely loved our experience. Very welcoming business. The owner was helpful and told us all of the good spots to hit. Definitely recommend!
