LE CLOS DU MAS DE GALOFFRE - Nîmes

We were recommended to pay a visit to this restaurant and we are very happy that we did. What a gem! Great food in a quiet environment with friendly and helpful staff. Food was great tasting, wonderful range and good assortments of wines to go with!

The setting by the pool was great but being a hotel restaurant we did not think it would be such a great value for money. Three courses for £20 on the terrace, we are going back next year.

I needed a place to get my ten pound co2 tank filled o my kegorator but my tank also needed to be certified.

This was a lovely surprise; outstanding quality of ingredients in the chef's take on a classic burger, with a taste delivery as good as any I've had anywhere. A simple choice done brilliantly. And my partner's scallop risotto also extremely good.A range of simple classic dishes, all made outstanding by the quality of the cooking.There really are some very strange reviews going on here; having eaten the night before at a place ranked 20th out of 500-odd in Nimes and found it almost indigestible, to "take a chance" on the restaurant right next door to our hotel (which we nearly rejected out of hand by believing reviews too much) and find it genuinely excellent, with a charming setting and peaceful air, makes us wonder how on earth one can use TA sometimes - it's just so much in the eye of the beholder as to be almost useless.So, to repeat, ignore negativity - give this charming restaurant a try and you shouldn't be disappointed.

We went there because we stayed in the hotel next door. A good choice if you don't want to drive and don't want anything special. We paid 72€ for one salad, one first course, one second course, one desert, water and a bottle of wine and left still a little hungry. For the same amount and quality you pay half in Spain or Italy... Another proof that traveling in France is quite expensive.
