LE TRUC - Nice

Lovely warm welcome every night in this great little wine bar from the owner, Michael. A mix of locals and tourists (like us) but everyone was friendly and welcoming. Prices much better than in the main tourist area too.

This is a great pl;ace to go to relax, drink good local wines, beers and ale and to talk to an informative owner who speak English very well and is native French.His hospitality is second to none, providing nibbles and cheese to go with the wine or beer.In no hurry to kick you out at the end of the night instead making you feel so very welcome. Le Truc is what one hopes to find after a long day at the beach. A wine bar with select great wines, a knowledgeable and friendly proprietor and a casual atmosphere. Don't like wine? No problems - a full bar is also available.

We stopped in for a drink after dinner, and were instantly welcomed by Miguel, the owner. Needless to say, one drink turned into many as we chatted with Miguel and some of the other patrons. Along with a thorough wine list, Le Truc has a few beers on tap as well...we were even treated to a few shots during our visit! It is clear that Miguel is passionate about wine and what he does, but more importantly for us, this is a quaint little place where you can relax and feel welcomed.If you are in Nice, make sure to stop by this little gem for a drink! It is a nice break from all of the touristy establishments nearby.

The locals managed to drink us under the table on the (very nice) house wine and a selection of shots incredibly quickly! Really friendly place with loads of atmosphere, well worth a visit!
