Jake's Eatery - Newtown

I stumbled on this place after a weekend and was thrilled. I ordered crabs and although it was busy, our food, 4 meals were ready in 15min. They gave large portions and all our meals were perfect! My mother has celiac disease, but still has plenty of breakfast options. Prices were very reasonable, especially if everything has risen too much. I recommend and can't wait to go back.

It's a great local diner with real food. Great staff. Monica's amazing. She works hard to know her customers and offers great service. Super clean and cheap. Great place for breakfast!

Good food at very reasonable prices. We sat there for almost 2 hours and never felt pressured to leave. Friendly place to go. We left a $23 tip on a $17 bill as we stayed so long.

Friendly service. We went with a fairly large crowd for lunch. Kind of the quality you'd expect from a breakfast/lunch/dinner place. Fries were nice and crispy! My companion commented on how much real meat was used in the crab cake and how tasty it was. I got the Cajun chicken panini which was good. Everyone was very satisfied.

I visited Jake's Eatery in Newtown today with my wife, and we had a wonderful experience. The staff was friendly and attentive, despite the restaurant being busy. I ordered the Hot Turkey plate, while my wife opted for a Turkey club sandwich. The Hot Turkey was delicious, with a perfect balance of flavors and just the right amount of saltiness, and the turkey itself tasted fresh. The fries were excellent as well. My wife enjoyed her sandwich too. My only suggestion would be to serve a larger portion of cranberries, as they really enhance the meal by balancing out the saltiness of the turkey. Overall, we had a great time and will definitely return, especially to try their breakfast next time!
