Burrito Torpedo - Newton

This charming little hometown burrito spot in Newton is a gem. The owner is friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The burritos here are generously sized; I've never encountered a small one. Their potatoes and sauces stand out compared to places like Qdoba and Pancheros. The meat is well-seasoned, adding great flavor. They also offer a nice selection of bottled drinks. Plus, they feature a $5 lunch special every day, which could include a specific type of burrito or nachos. A delightful new addition is that they now grill the outside of the burrito, which takes it to another level! Highly recommended!

The service was excellent. The staff was polite and friendly, making for great conversations. The food brought back nostalgic memories and was delicious. And the Mexican sodas were fantastic! I will definitely be returning.

The food was excellent! However, I was caught off guard by the extra charges for shredded cheese, which was an additional dollar, and a dollar fifty for a dab of sour cream. This bumped up my burrito from six dollars to eight fifty. I must have overlooked the extra fees on the menu. The food was fantastic, but I think I'll skip the extras next time.
