During this holiday time, please be patient with staff at restaurants and other businesses. They have enough problems dealing with understaffing and trying to please sometimes the same volume of customers while understaffed. They were definitely having an issue with staffing on Xmas Eve. My friend ordered shrimp fajitas and I ordered the carne asada with fries. The friend was very happy with her shrimp fajitas. My carne asada with fries were not my cup of tea. I

I went with a group of 6 tonight. The place was clean and very empty. The entire time we were there no one else came to eat inside. We did see a few people get to go orders. I know we are currently living in a pandemic, but it?s still odd that no one else ever came in. We were there around 6:15 on a Saturday night. Worked for us though! Great social distancing. Best Mexican Food in Hampton Roads hands down! They just renovated the inside which looks great! Now there is more seating available but they still have the same awesome food and service!

This was my first time here, I placed order for carne guisado and chicken Tamales Guatemaltecos. I get home and realize they replaced the guisado with another dish Carne adobada de puerco. The flavor is good but I realize its pork I stopped eating pork. I wish they would have contaced me first or atleast replaced the beef dish with another beef dish. The meal also came with homemade flour tortillas, little lettuce and tomatoes sour cream salad and refried beans and rice and small bag of chips and small cntr of red salsa . Everything had great flavor and was seasoned well. The tamale was flavorful and large and I was surprised it came with whole chicken drum

We were expecting a small dining area but ample room with upbeat music. A gentleman served our fresh chips and salsa. The salsa had a good combination of good flavors; however not spicy enough, but a dab of El Yucateco hot sauce made it great. The Barbacoa burrito had that great flavor at first bite; not enough meat inside IMO but still delicious. The carne asada and barbacoa tacos were again tasty, and the homemade tortillas were warm and perfect. Clean dining area. Friendly service.
